Josie Volden

Josie is a 4th year veterinary student at the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities. She is originally from Menomonee Falls and is excited to be back in the area. She graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Zoology. During her time in Madison, she volunteered at a farm sanctuary where she worked with a wide variety of animals from pigs to emus. She also volunteered at a rehabilitation center where horse riding was used as a modality of physical therapy for kids with disabilities.

Josie has always had a deep appreciation and love for animals that has only grown throughout veterinary school. After graduation, she hopes to work in a small animal general practice to share her passion for internal medicine, preventative care, and geriatric care. Josie is excited to expand her exotic animal knowledge and learn from the wonderful team at Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital.

Outside of veterinary medicine Josie loves reading, hiking, and spending time with her dog Lola.
