Here at Brook Falls, we are fortunate to be able to work with local wildlife rehabilitation groups such as , founded by Marty Thompson.

This past December 2018, Marty responded to a call regarding an injured. After examining the crane and performing x-rays under anesthesia, diagnosed a dislocated left elbow and injury to its left shoulder. Due to the nature of these injuries, the crane was not able to be released back into the wild. This past week, we were able to prepare the crane for his big adventure including performing additional labwork, reassessing his injuries and placing a microchip (pictures below).

Marty will be personally funding this additional tsting and even his transportation to the zoo! If you would like to help towards funds for this special patient and for other injured wildlife, pl
