Growing up as a young girl in Wisconsin near the Appleton-Green Bay area, Stephanie always loved camping, playing with bugs and enjoyed everything about the outdoors. She remembers being fascinated by science and experiments. Back then, Stephanie had a variety of pets including Chameleons, gerbils, fish, birds, and dogs. She then started working with horses when she was just 16 years old.
Stephanie got involved in the veterinary profession because of her desire to help pets live longer healthier lives and to help foster the human-animal bond extending the relationship between pet and pet owner.
Before going to school in Minnesota to become a Veterinary Technician, Stephanie worked at various horse boarding facilities, learning how to ride and then working for the stables for many years. She enjoys how intelligent animals of all species are, but dogs have a special place in her heart. They are loving, smart, and inventive – and goofy! She knows that no matter what kind of day she’s had when Stephanie gets home, she’ll be greeted by a happy face and a wagging tail.
Stephanie is married to Billy, and together they have a 7-year old “super mutt” named Argos, who loves to roll in the grass and chase squirrels and bunnies. She and Billy just built their first raised garden in their new home and are looking forward to lots of spaghetti sauce made from all the tomatoes they planted.
When she’s not at work, Stephanie enjoys gardening, horseback riding and hiking with the dog. She is inspired by the beauty around her and the feeling of accomplishment when she reaches the top of the trail.
