Growing up in West Allis, Wisconsin, Hannah always loved animals. She got her first cat in fifth grade where they spent hours curled up on her bed reading Harry Potter. As she grew, so did her family of animals. Together with her parents, brother, and sister, the family also adopted two dogs.
When Hannah adopted Ginny, her cat, she rescued her from a terrible hoarding situation. Just four weeks old, Ginny was very sick. The next day Hannah and her father took Ginny to the vet. That visit to the vet inspired Hannah to take care of animals.
Hannah attended Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) for anesthesia technology. But after graduation, she realized her passion for helping animals was stronger than working with people.
Hannah was employed at PetSmart as a pet care manager but eventually followed her heart and came to work at Brook-Falls Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. Hannah loves working with pet owners and teaching them how to properly care for their furry, feathered, or scaled family members. She also assists in surgeries, which she finds exciting and interesting because she says… “You never know what you’re going to get!” Hannah feels that animals are the purest beings on the Earth and she wants to do her part to keep them happy and healthy.
Today, Hannah and her soon-to-be husband, Mitch, are happy pet owners. They share their home with a 2-year old collie mix named Nym; Dean, the bearded dragon; a shy but sweet Ball Python; and of course, Ginny. Ginny is now 14 years old and the queen of the house. Ginny and Hannah still enjoy reading Harry Potter books together, as well as watching funny movies and playing video games.
