Halloween Pet Costume

Teach your dog to be Comfortable With Wearing Costumes

  • Find comfortable pet costumes that fit your pups appropriately.

Ensuring the item they are wearing if appropriately fitted can go a long way for comfort and safety. Be sure the item isn’t too tight, causing restriction or too loose, causing your pup to trip over itself.

  • Take individual differences into account.

Perhaps your dog is fine with cute collars, and a sweater, but would not like a hat or something affixed to their head.

  • Slow Introductions

Waiting until the day of the event to try on a costume can spell disaster. Take time to introduce your dog to the costume. Have them wear components of it during fun activities for short periods.

If your dog isn’t into the costume-wearing experience, consider festive collars, bows or bandanas.
